Price vinyl decals, stickers and other Cricut projects from what each order really uses: the vinyl or paper, transfer tape, ink, packaging and your cutting, weeding and packing time. The calculator works backward from your target margin, so the price still leaves your profit after Etsy or market fees.

What to count in a Cricut project
- Vinyl or sticker paper. Measure by what the design uses, not the roll or pack: the roll price divided by its square inches, times the square inches you cut, or one sheet’s cost divided by the stickers on it.
- The blank, if there is one. A shirt, tote, mug or card you cut a design for. For shirts, the HTV shirt calculator has its rows already named.
- Transfer tape or laminate. Count it by the area you use, the same way as the vinyl.
- Ink for printed designs. Your ink cost per printed sheet for Print Then Cut stickers, shared across the stickers on it.
- Packaging. Backing card, sleeve, envelope or mailer, and a thank-you card.
- Your minutes per order. Cutting, weeding, applying transfer tape, trimming, packing and printing the label. Detailed designs weed slowly, so time them.
- Machine wear as overhead. Blades, mats and the machine itself wear out. Spread their cost, and design software, across what you make using the overhead field.
- Miscuts. Spread the cost of ruined sheets and decals across the good ones.

Questions sellers ask
How do I work out the vinyl cost for one decal?
Divide the roll price by its total square inches, then multiply by the square inches the decal uses, plus a little for weeding waste. Count transfer tape the same way.
Should the cost of my Cricut be in the price?
Yes, as overhead. Add up the machine, blades and mats you expect to wear out, divide by the number of items you expect to make with them, and enter that as overhead per item.
Why does a low price leave so little profit?
Etsy’s fixed fee, the envelope and your packing minutes cost the same on a small order as on a big one, so they take a bigger share of a low price. Selling packs and sets spreads them over more items.
